The Vegan Challenge

Primary Series Continuing Ed.
We are opening up the first two weekends of our Fall 2015 Teacher Training Program as continuing ed to current 200-Hour Certified yoga instructors. Interested teachers can participate in either just the first weekend or the first two weekends where Mimi and Elliott will be breaking down the fundamentals of teaching and adjusting through a complete Primary Series practice.

Member Mat Cleanout
We are doing a member mat cleanout at both studios. If you are storing your mat currently, please take it home by Saturday August 1st. Mats can be returned for storage by Wednesday, August 5th.
Please be sure stored mats have your first and last name. Mat storage is for Members Only.
Yoga for Birth and Labor
Join Devon for this in-depth practice that expands upon the weekly prenatal class. Breathing techniques and a guided meditation will follow our asana practice. Bring a partner, spouse or a buddy. Appropriate for all levels and all trimesters of pregnancy.
Saturday, August 15th, 12:30-2:30, Cambridge Studio. $60/couple ($50/couple if you register in advance).

Kanga & Joeys Yoga Series
A kids’ yoga series for students 3.5-6 with a focus on exploring yoga asana from the Animal Kingdom while a parent/guardian does adult yoga across the hall in the other studio.
Join Devon and Kat for this 10 session series: 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/30. You must enroll in the entire series in order to participate. Minimum enrollment needed for the series to run. More details/sign up here.
Intro to O2 Yoga Workshop

Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga
Prenatal yoga is a balanced class especially designed for you during your pregnancy year. Appropriate for beginning and experienced yoginis.
Prenatal: Somerville – 7pm Sunday nights with Barrett; Cambridge – 5:45pm Wednesday nights with Devon.
Postnatal (for mommies with infants prior to crawling): Cambridge – 11am Tuesdays with Devon; Somerville – 10am Fridays with Devon
Astanga 2nd Series
Join Elliott & Lynne and practice the Second Series of aṣtanga yoga. This practice builds on the work in our regular Primary Series classes, but focuses more on backbending and hip opening, with some fun inversions, dynamic jumping postures, and of course the 7 headstands. Second Series classes are held on the final week of the month, in place of the regular aṣtanga classes at those times. Check the schedule here for more info. Cambridge and Somerville!
Weekly Meditation in Cambridge
Like yoga, no one is “bad” at mediation. You do by practice! Join Karen “Shanti” Caiazzo Thursday nights at 6:30 pm for a 30-minute sit. We will practice breathing techniques, mantra, and open-eye meditation. Appropriate for beginners and seasoned meditators.
