Student & Community Info About Cambridge Closing

Posted By O2 Yoga on Apr 13, 2019 in News and Deals | 0 comments

We were sad to share the news in our March 1st newsletter that our Cambridge location will be closing this spring after seven wonderful years.

We had hoped that another similar business would be able to take over our space, but the landlords have instituted a 400% rent increase, making that impossible.

We are recommending that students who only practice in Cambridge buy class packages that will work with the time frame of the studio’s end date. Any unused classes can, of course, be used over in our Somerville studio, which will be remaining open with a full schedule of classes.

Our final classes in Cambridge will be held on Monday, April 29th (evening only). View the Cambridge schedule here.

We look forward to seeing you on your mat in both studios throughout April and in Somerville for many years to come!

Volunteers Welcome to Help Us Move

Many of you have asked if you can be of help to the Carpenter family as well as the O2 staff during Cambridge’s closing. The answer, of course, is yes! We welcome anyone who might be willing and able to assist our packing & moving process.

Right now, help is most needed April 28th-April 30th. Anyone able to lift heavier things would be great to have on hand Sunday, April 28th starting around 4pm. Click here for more details.

Need a Couch?

We have some furniture “free to a good home” and some others that might be for sale. The loveseat pictured here (currently living in our Wellness Center) and the full sized couch in the office are up for grabs — you simply have to pick them up before April 30th.

If you are interested in other furniture and fixtures in the Cambridge studio, please email mimi@o2yoga.com or sarah@o2yoga.com to find about the pieces’ availability.

Member Mats and Lost & Found

Cambridge Members, please don’t forget to pick up your yoga mats before our final day of classes, Monday, April 29th. Mats with names on them that are left behind will likely make their way over to Somerville, but do your best to pick them up before the end of the month so they don’t get lost in the shuffle.

Likewise with the Cambridge Lost & Found — unclaimed items will be donated, so pop on by soon to grab that water bottle you left behind. Thanks, yogis!
