NEW STUDENT SPECIAL
For new students, we offer a two specials: a New Student 2-class card for $25 (classes expire one year after date of purchase) and 2 weeks of unlimited classes for $50 (expires two weeks after purchase).
Regardless of your experience level (but especially if you’re brand new to yoga), we recommend starting your O2 practice with a Basics class. Basics classes are challenging, but since their focus is more on foundations of the practice, they move more slowly than other classes. Intermediate classes are designed to help students to develop the strength and flexibility needed to explore more advanced postures (inversions, arm balances, more advanced versions of things introduced in Basics) while still offering in-depth instruction in basic postures and alignment. Astanga and Power classes are more advanced and are recommended for students who have previous experience with vinyasa (flow) and Astanga styles of yoga. For students who are comfortable with the Astanga Primary Series, we also offer Second Series classes the last week of the month.
All regularly-scheduled classes at O2 are on a drop-in basis. Please consult the class schedule for information on class length and time; click here to learn about rates beyond the new student offerings.
WHAT TO WEAR
Wear light, comfortable clothing that is easy to move in for practice. Avoid large t-shirts, short shorts, and very loose clothing. Natural fibers are best. You may want to bring a sweatshirt or long-sleeve shirt to wear at the end of class as you are cooling down. This style of yoga is practiced barefoot.
WHAT TO BRING
This style of yoga is vigorous. You will most likely work up a sweat during class so you may want to bring a towel. If you own a yoga mat, please bring it to class. We have mats and towels available at the studio for sale or rental ($1); yoga mat rental is free for first-time students. You may want to bring a water bottle for after class — filtered water for refill is available at the studio.
WHAT TO DO BEFORE YOUR FIRST CLASS
Avoid eating a heavy meal two to three hours before class; avoid eating a light meal one to two hours before class. Drink plenty of water before class.
Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before class to have plenty of time to fill out the consent form and get oriented with the studio space.
There is no “Member ID” card — after your first visit, you will simply need to give the desk staff your name to sign in for class.
Classes begin promptly. There is no late admittance.
You can pay for class by check, cash, or credit card (Mastercard, Discover, or Visa — No Amex). If you are a student, please bring your student ID to get the student rate.
Restrooms and changing rooms are available for use at the studio. We do not have showers.
We have cubbies for personal belongings to be stored during class. In Cambridge only, there are lockers that you may use during class (not for permanent storage) — please notify desk staff/bring your own lock if you plan on using them.
We are not responsible for lost items. That said, both studios have Lost & Found sections. We typically clear them out once a month.
Let the teacher know if you are new to yoga or if you are working with any injuries or conditions. If you have a serious injury or condition, please check with your physician before beginning a yoga program.
Please notify the teacher if you are pregnant so he or she can offer the appropriate modifications.
