It Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect

Ah, words to live by. My friend Kelly said them to me last night as I was freaking out over test recipes in my kitchen. I was trying out some new recipes which mostly failed. I understand on an intellectual level that everything takes time and “practice and all is coming” as Shri K Patabhi Jois said. “It’s the journey not the destination”; there’s another one that I say a lot. Oh, but I guess that needs to apply to me too huh? Okay, so maybe this is a lesson in practicing what I preach. Cambridge is bigger and more intense than ever and I need to focus and stay calm. Maybe a deep breath or two would help. Hmmm, I wonder where I could get all of those in one package. Yoga perhaps? I hear it does wonders.
